UCLAN Forever

Something very close to David's heart has been in the news recently - University of Central Lancashire because a student there, Sara Watson, has done an incredible bit of art.

She spent 3 weeks taking a battered old Skoda and making it 'disappear' by painting it so that it blends in with the surrounding area.

The BBC report that the car is now being used as advertising for the local recycling firm that donated the car to her.

Congratulations Sara, always good seeing a fellow UCLANer doing well.

LAH LAH LAH LAH!! We can sing away at Lake once again as we picked up a bronze at The Roses Awards, held last week at the Hilton in Manchester for Best Low Budget Advert.

We sent along the most handsome members of our team, Steve (right), Neil (middle) and a random sponsor man from the awards, to collect it.

Our Ben is trying to buy a new car at the moment. He's probably going to get ANOTHER Punto, after having several of them and them all being rubbish!

Anyway, this is was spotted in Santa Monica, U S of A.

We've moved...

...don't worry we haven't gone far! just down a few flights of stairs actually. We've moved studios from up in the roof to right down at the bottom.

The decorators, carpet fitters and the skip men have been in and sorted us out so we've got a flashy new studio to work in and we've got windows we can actually see out of (Dickie, Neil and David spend most of the time staring out of them!).

Anyway, if your round the area come on in and have a brew because we're all very proud of it.

Legal graffiti

Check out this shizzle, it's what all the cool kids are doing now, it's called light graffiti and you won't get busted by the po po for doing it.

It's dead easy to do, just set up your camera on a long exposure time, people usually do it from 10-30 seconds but one artist does up to an hour and then just draw in the sky with a torch, laser pen, bike light or basically anything that gives out light.

Give it a whirl, you know you want to.

This charming man!!!!

This man, this myth and this legend was in Hills Bakery down the road from lake's lair today!!

Steve actually saw and touched him!! When he came back to the lair and told the studio, David, Bern and Dickie immediately put their coats on and went to find him!

The 3 of them were running around like rubbish paparazzi's but unfortunately the enigma that is Steven Patrick Morrissey had given them the slip.

Undeterred David carried on looking for him regardless throughout his dinner hour but still couldn't find him so went back to the lair and sulked for the rest of the day as Morrissey is his hero.

An easy way to design a website

Today i shall mostly be designing a website for the new Vigorboard, so all you cool fun loving dare devils keep your eyes peeled for it!

You've gotta sketch your ideas before you go plowing into the mac so this is the perfect tool for websites.

It's only available so far with the Firefox browser but that is good enough. It's got 60 pages (45 browser windows and 15 with ad boxes) and you can purchase this little gem from www.paranaiv.no

January News

It’s been a good start to the Year as we’ve made some new friends - most notably Lancashire Eccles Cakes and The BugWorld Experience.

The famous Lancashire Eccles Cakes need no introduction. They taste fantastic and we’re producing a website for them that will be just as tasty.

The BugWorld Experience is a new tourist attraction that will be opening in June at the Albert Docks in Liverpool. It will be displaying an incredible range of bugs and creatures and we’re devising an ad campaign that will create a real stir just before it opens.

Photoshopping

Some cheeky little weasel did this in Berlin, stuck up the photoshop interface and windows over an existing poster. Genius!
